Charlene graduated from Flamingo Beauty College in Bloomington in 1969. She married Richard Whitmar, a Navy man, in 1971. They had two daughters, Maria and Kathleen, and a son, Richard. She was a grandmother of seven. Charlene passed away May 25, 2006 of cancer. She was a wonderful mother and is dearly missed.

Charlene...I'm so sorry that I lost touch with you. It's times like these that really make you realize how important it is to stay in touch. Just thinking of all of the times that we had together...oh my gosh, we had some good times...I hope you know that I treasure those memories. Remember Thursday night at our house? You used to come over every Thursday night because it was "leftover" night. Mom always cleaned everything out of the fridge before she went shopping on Friday...and you weren't about to miss it. It was your most favorite meal of the week. And, the night that you, Sandy and I went "shooting mainstreet" and got into trouble for staying out too late. I think it was the only time we ever got in trouble...but, we did it right! Boy, were we in trouble!!! I miss you, Charlene, Faye
