Betty Nave, 49, died Sunday, February 23, 1999 in her home in Berea, KY.  A native of Yokohama, Japan, she came to America in 1958. She attended Eastern Kentucky University and earned an associates degree in Nursing. She was a member of the Army National Guard, a registered nurse at the Veterans Hospital in Lexington, KY from 1984 until her retirement in December 1998.  She served in a MASH unit in the Persian Gulf  during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.  Her final service was as captain with Det. F AMEDD.  Servivors include a daughter and son.
